The National Register of Historic Places is the National Park Service's official list of districts, sites, buildings, structures, and objects deemed worthy of preservation. Having a property on the National Register may qualify its owners for certain tax incentives.
Price Guide: We charge a $225 initial investigationfee to determine whether a building may be eligible for listing on the National Register. If we determine that a property would be considered for listing, the following payment schedule applies:
- 1/3 of total price,* minus the initial investigation fee, due at the start of the application preparation.
- 1/3 of total price due upon application submission to a state historic preservation office for review and approval.**
- Final 1/3 due upon submission to the National Park Service for final consideration for listing.
* Total prices generally range from $2.500 to $4,500 depending on the property.

Should the application not be approved after review by a state historic preservation office, the final payment will not apply. |
